About CalcMint

Free, ad-light financial calculators and plain-language guides for Indian users.

Who's behind it

CalcMint is built and maintained by Gaurav Kumar, a software engineer based in Dehradun, India. I built CalcMint because most financial calculators online are cluttered with ads, opaque about their formulas, or trying to sell you something before you've even gotten your answer.

What CalcMint is

CalcMint is a collection of free, ad-light financial calculators and plain-language guides for Indian users — EMI, SIP, tax planning, and more. Every calculator shows its formula, not just a black-box result.

Our methodology

Every calculator on CalcMint uses the same standard formulas published by RBI, SEBI, and the Income Tax Department — the same math your bank or mutual fund uses internally. Where a calculation depends on official rules (like tax slabs or Section 80C limits), we cite the source and update the page when rules change. You can see the exact formula on every calculator page — nothing is hidden.

Editorial standards

Guides are written in plain English, reviewed for accuracy against current RBI/SEBI/Income Tax rules, and updated when those rules change — you'll always see a "last updated" date on every guide.

A note on advice

CalcMint provides educational tools and information, not financial, tax, or legal advice. Calculations are estimates based on the inputs you provide and standard formulas — always verify with your bank, a SEBI-registered financial advisor, or a chartered accountant before making financial decisions.
